WHY THE GALLOWAY BREED?

There are many reasons to choose Galloways.

They are naturally polled ( no horns ) therefore their calves ... even if crossed with a horned breed, will be polled.  Galloways originate from Scotland and are adaptable to harsh environments, are long living and very resistant to disease. They are Non - Selective Grazers, meaning they will eat just about anything , maturing and maintaining their weight while doing so. Galloways are a fertile breed known for calving ease...even in harsh environments...with a high live birth rate.

The Galloways are known to be a docile and an easy to handle breed. We have several on the ranch that love to be loved. I'm talking eat out of your hands, love to be brushed and pet, come to you for attention, lovable pets.
